NEXT GENERATION HULL STRESS MONITORING SYSTEM
Next generation Hull Stress Monitoring System, providing install access to critical structural and operational information, on board, on-passage ans on-time
Strainstall's StressAlert II Hull Stress Monitoring System Technology is the result of over 30 years at the leading edge of load measurement, strain and stress determination. This expertice, together with a strong commercial understanding of vessel operating control ande safety, means that StressAlert II is more than just an alarm system.

Advanced information handling and data logging technology monitors structural integrity indicating deterioration. Combining with course and speed as well as weather conditions enables operational efficiency to be improved and vessel safety increased.
BENEFITS
The benefits for Stress Alert II users are clear

• Real commercial advantage
• Improved charter rates
• Reduced insurance premiums
• Reduced dry docking
• Prolonged vessel life

StressAlert II - The system
StressAlert II can be configured to suit different vessel types and sizes and meet individual operating needs e.g. Tankers, Bulk Carriers, Container Ships, Ro Ro, Ferries e.t.c.

  Sensors
Long baseline strain gauges, mounted on the deck or in holds (according to vessel type), measure structural bending. Bow accelerometer measures the impact of bow slamming. An optional bow pressure gauge measues dynamic bow draft.
Signal Conditioning
Signal conditioning unit interfaces and processes all sensor signals. The inclusion of an optional zener barrier unit provides intrinsic safety for sensors installed in hazardous areas.

UPS
Uninterruptible power supply provides over 3 hours operation in the event of ship's power failure.

Data Processing and Display
Type approved parinished PC provides data acquisition and processing, display processing, data logging and high resolution colour graphics. Alarm display unit provides dedicated alarm indication. Comprehensive analysis of masured data provides vessel stress history and fatigue prediction.
